Project Description:
This project was born as a response to the aftermath of the earthquake that stroke Nepal in 2015. The situation was followed closely with frequent visits, and in 2018 through a partnership with a Nepalese NGO and the support of the Danish Arts Foundation was possible to carry out the construction of a community centre for one of the most affected villages close to Kathmandu.
The project was developed in phases, with three major goals: to promote cultural sustainability (local materials, local workforce, etc), improving resilience in the local community and offer an architectural product with a higher level of design and aesthetic.
